In 1997, the U.S. Golf Association named Hapuna The Course of the Future. This Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay-designed 18-hole championship course is nestled into the dramatic natural contours of the land from the shoreline to about 700 feet above sea level. This beautiful course features spectacular views of the Kohala Coast and the Pacific, with snow-capped Mauna Kea volcano as a backdrop. Hapunas challenging play and environmental sensitivity make it one of Hawaiis most unique golf courses.

Directions

Directions to Hapuna Golf Course
Directions from Keahole-Kona International Airport KOA to Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel

1. As you leave the Airport, turn left onto Queen Kaahumanu Highway 19, heading toward Kawaihae.
2. Drive north about 27 miles, approximately 30 minutes.
3. Half-way point: after about 15 minutes you will come to a stoplight near the Waikoloa Resort area, from this point you are half way there.
4. 2-mile landmark: look for the signs for the small town of Puako from this turn off you are about 2 miles from the hotel entrance.
5. Youll pass the state highway sign for Hapuna Beach State Park, go over the overpass and shortly thereafter, look for the entrance to Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel – the entrance will be on the right side.
6. Enter this driveway and the guard will direct you to the hotel, located oceanfront.
