Known for its terrific greens and beautiful layout, The Boulder Course at Cimarron Golf Resort is one of the top courses open to the public in Southern California. This challenging par-71 layout, which plays as long as 6,747 yards, was designed by John Fought and Todd Schoeder. The layout has five par 3s and four par 5s. The par 3s range from 159 yards to 218 yards from the back tees, and they all have a different look. There are large waste areas throughout much of the course. There are also strategic bunkers and some water features that golfers will have to navigate as they make their way around the course. The Boulder Course is just one of the courses at Cimarron Golf Resort. The 18-hole Pebble Course is a short course of mostly par 3s that plays just over 3,000 yards, but is plenty challenging and fun and complements the regulation course nicely. The resort has excellent practice facilities that include a full driving range with target greens, short-game area and practice putting green. The golf shop in the clubhouse features the latest in apparel, accessories and equipment. And the fabulous ?On the Rocks? Restaurant, which is one of the best places to watch the sun set in the Palm Springs area, features 180-degree views of the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa Mountain Ranges. The restaurant is open every day, and the menu includes plenty of hearty appetizers, sandwiches and entrees, cocktails and a great beer selection.
