Dryden Park Golf Course may be the best of the public courses in this area. The course is considered a traditional type course and runs along the banks of the Tuolumne River.

The Dryden Park Golf Course was opened in 1959 and was designed by William F. Bell. The course measures 6,531 from the back tees over 18 holes carded as a par 72. Dryden has a course rating of 70.9 with a slope of 122 on Bermuda grass. This course is considered a mid-length classical course. The fairways are fairly wide and the greens are medium size. There are some elevated tees making for an interesting array of tee shots. Accuracy is very important as the hazards are guarding key landing areas.
