With mountain views, elevated tees, beautiful water features and terrific greens, Glen Ivy Golf Club is a premium public facility in Southern California's Inland Empire. Designed by Ted Robinson Sr., and Ted Robinson Jr., the par-72 course, which plays 6,673 yards from the back set of tees, weaves its way through groves of citrus trees and the hillsides and canyons of the Cleveland National Forest. There are lots of uneven lies, a few water features to carry and beautiful white sand "Augusta-like" bunkers throughout the course, which opened in 1999. The finishing stretch is particularly strong with a couple of difficult par 3s, a long downhill par-4 16th and spectacular finishing hole. The 434-yard par-4 18th starts with an elevated tee and panoramic view of the fairway, countryside below and mountains. The tee shot must clear an orchard and avoid three fairway bunkers to set up an approach guarded by water short and left of the green. In addition to the golf course, Glen Ivy Golf Club has excellent practice facilities that include a full driving range, short-game area and practice putting green. Lesson programs include video analysis and on-course instruction for every age and every level of player. The clubhouse includes a top-notch golf shop with the latest offerings in apparel, accessories and equipment. And the Canyons Grille is open seven days a week and includes fine dining for dinner. Menu items include steak, chicken and salmon entrees, along with wine pairings and craft beer.
