Tucked in the hills of Oakland, Lake Chabot Golf Course Executive Par 3 Course is a 9-hole accompaniment to the 1923-vintage 18 Hole course at a popular Oakland municipal facility. The 27-hole complex, which is known for its very hilly terrain, stunning views, and affordable tee times, abuts Anthony Chabot Regional Park about 13 miles southeast of downtown. Lake Chabot Golf Course Executive Par 3 Course is a fun, walking-only pitch-and-putt layout that debuted in 2006. It s a nice track for beginners, for short game practice, and for extra golf before or after a round on the 18 Hole Course. Measuring 1,023 yards in total, Lake Chabot Golf Course Executive Par 3 Course features holes as long as 162 yards and as short as 66 yards. The golf grounds are not as extreme as the regulation eighteen. Lake Chabot Golf Course Executive Par 3 Course rambles up and down on a few holes but otherwise is somewhat flat. Trees present the principal hazard on this parkland layout that gets quite narrow in spots. Bunkering is very sparse, but the greens are rather small and slip off at the edges. While you don t get the bay views that the 18 Hole Course delivers, Lake Chabot Golf Course Executive Par 3 Course boasts a few views of Lake Chabot. You also stand a decent chance of seeing deer, turkeys and hawks as you make your way through the playing field, especially if you play later in the day. Practice facilities at the complex include a driving range, chipping area, sand bunker, and two putting greens. The remodeled Spanish-style clubhouse is home to a golf shop and a cafe. For a short, well laid out 9-hole pitch-and-putt alternative to the 18 Hole Course at a historic Oakland muni facility, make a tee time to play Lake Chabot Golf Course Executive Par 3 Course.
