Monarch Bay Golf Club is a newly redesigned 27 hole layout sitting beautifully along the San Francisco Bay, while barely 10 miles from downtown Oakland. John Harbottle was the architect of a $9 million dollar renovation, which saw all the fairways replaced with salt resistant paspalum grass to create some excellent playing conditions. The 18 hole Tony Lema Golf Course is a Par 71, which plays 7,015 yards from the back tees, and carries a rating of 74. The course features lots of wildlife as it winds its way through a protected wetland, and where every hole has a natural view of the San Francisco Bay. Windy conditions are typical and many of the holes often play with a links style challenge.

Monarch Bay Golf Club - Lema Course tee times can be found anytime searching for San Leandro golf deals. The course has many great amenities such as their double-deck practice range area that is complete with windscreens, heaters, and a music system. There is a restaurant for relaxing after a round, which offers banquet services as well. Past San Leandro tee times seekers have enjoyed their experiences at Monarch Bay, saying how the greens were in quite good shape, the staff was friendly and attentive, and this was as close to seaside links golf you will find in the Bay Area.
