Tecolote Canyon Golf Course discounts are a great reason to get out and enjoy this 18 hole, Par 58, very challenging executive course. Located just 15 minutes north of downtown, San Diego tee times here are easy to reach and enjoy. Designed by golfing great Sam Snead, in collaboration with the famous course architect Robert Trent Jones Sr., the course, which originally opened in 1964, plays 3,161 yards from the back tees, with a slope of 101. It combines a mix of rolling greens, with challenging tee shots, made even more so by the many elevation changes and hazards on most every hole. The layout is a true old-fashioned "loop" as well, since the first 9 holes take you away from the clubhouse and the second 9 works its way back.

Along with San Diego golf deals at Tecolote Canyon, you can also enjoy the practice area, a well-lit grass tee driving range, which is complete with practice greens and bunkers. Recent visitors have remarked how they loved the course, and how it has very nice greens. Tecolote Canyon Golf Course was also rated "Best Challenge at an Executive Course," by Southland Golf magazine for its unique ability to combine the challenges and thrills of a full-length course into this award winning short course.
