Located in the middle of the beautiful Temecula Wine Country, The Legends Golf Club at Temeku Hills opened to rave reviews in 1995 and continues to pile up accolades today. Known simply as Temeku Hills Golf Club in the beginning, the course was designed by prolific architect Ted Robinson. In 2011 Perry Dye, son of the legendary Pete Dye, added his touches to this 6,636-yard, par-72 layout that features a nice variety of holes and excellent playing conditions. The course at The Legends Golf Club has rolling topography, five lakes, plenty of doglegs and five sets of tees to suit all levels of players. The lakes come into play on several holes, including the par-3 eighth, which requires players to carry the water on the tee shot. Each hole is dedicated to some of golf's most legendary names, hence the name of the course. For example, the first three holes are named for Old Tom Morris, Harry Vardon and Walter Hagan respectively. The last hole is dedicated to arguably the greatest player of all time, Jack Nicklaus. It's a 516-yard, risk-reward, dogleg left par 5 that features a stream that crosses in front of the green. The Legends Golf Club also has terrific practice facilities that include a full driving range and putting green. Lessons are also available from the staff of instructors at The Legends Golf Club. The clubhouse offers a well-stocked clubhouse as well as a full-service restaurant that accommodate up to 100 customers. The club is open to the public, but memberships are also available.
