Tips on building a reliable swing
This tip is by PGA TOUR star Joey Sindelar

One of the neat things we get to do out on TOUR is play in the Wednesday pro-ams. And, as you might imagine, I've seen all kinds of swings. And one thing I've noticed is, people's minds seem to be very busy with all of the great tips that they have learned. And if you have decided that you want to make your swing a little more reliable, I think I've got something that might help you out.

I think golf swings are about the motion in where the speed is. And in my opinion, if you take your golf swing, and you make the ball the target, your whole swing is directed at dumping on the golf ball. You've got to remember: the golf ball is not the target. The target is the target.

So what I want to encourage you to do is swing through the golf ball, and make the speed of your golf swing out here. A drill to remind you is what I call the whoosh drill. Lots of teachers use it. If you unload too early, you'll here the noise, the whoosh, back in here in your golf swing.
